In addition to regime insiders working against the MAGA regime by “binding” together, the 300 million or so of us non-insiders need our own “bindings.”
We must start working on a new agenda for a new America. Fixing the deep anti-democratic flaws that brought us this fascist regime.
Every citizen’s right to vote and be counted. Out with the Electoral College. Equal pay. Women’s right to control their own bodies. Etc.
FWIW, you have my full permission to share this and the Common Good Manifesto as far and wide as you like. And if you want to add your own bullet points, reshape the ideas, or build on them with your own vision — please, be my guest. This isn’t meant to be a personal project or a pedantic rulebook. It’s simply meant to plant seeds.
We spend so much time talking about the misdeeds of people who would derail democracy for their own gain that we forget the most powerful tool we have:
a shared vision of what the future could be.
This manifesto — and this note — are an invitation to shift the conversation. Instead of focusing on what’s broken, let’s talk about what’s possible. Let’s talk about what we want, what we dream of, what we owe each other, and how we lift the whole country up together.
If anything in the manifesto resonates with you, take it. Use it. Add to it. Share it with your family, your community, your faith group, your workplace, your school board, your circle of friends. And if you know someone younger, more energetic, better placed, or ready to lead — hand it to them. My real hope is that this becomes a spark in their hands. Maybe this can be a tiny piece of the starting point for a new New Deal — one built not on fear and scarcity, but on solidarity, fairness, and the stubborn belief that we really can do better.
Please do share. Speak up. Speak loudly. Speak together.
Because when enough people start imagining a better world in unison, that’s when the world actually changes.
It’s a big list that I fear is unattainable. But if we could at least get your sections 1,2, and 3 done, it’d be a start. They can work on the others after we rid this “ government “ of its traitors. This sounds ideal though. Im all for it
It’s only unattainable if we all decide to do nothing. I’ve added this portion:

I sincerely hope that younger people step up and run for office. These old crackpots in there need to go. But you’re right, we need to fix what’s broken and start building from the bottom up. I think most of us are so beaten down, then we get a glimmer of light and then we’re kicked down again. If our leaders in the Democratic Party would step up more, we’ve got a chance to remove this regime and replace it with something better. I will spread this message and thank you.

But who will lead us out of this chaos? Dismantling this regime is step 1 - finding political leaders to recreate a functional representative government is next. It must start now
That is absolutely right. An important part of dismantling the regime will be offering a compelling alternative vision that addresses the real problems that the fascists exploited to build a movement in the first place. Not enough centrist Democrats are focused on dismantling, let alone building a vision of what comes next. Too many think we can just “go back to normal.” But that’s not going to work. We will end up right back in our current situation without implementing a new vision that corrects the vulnerabilities in our system that the fascists have exploited. Personally, I think AOC has such a vision. But I don’t think she will ever have wide enough appeal, unfortunately.
My two cents’ worth: this T Rump regime has seen only a fraction of the resistance that will come. If they keep destroying the rights and lives of Americans, obliterating the American dream, and promoting hate, misogyny, and inequality, they risk awakening a sleeping giant they cannot control. “This is the way.”
This is an extremely insightful article. The graphic you included is a concise way to explain the state of affairs. Is it copyrighted? Is there a place to order prints? I'd like to leave some in public places- libraries and post offices.
Well why not go for the Achilles heel and see the regime topple over. Is there such a thing as its Achilles heel?
Yes, it is fact that the regime has no foundation. It is an insurrection founded upon a rigged election. Undertake audits of hand ballots in key Democratic States and abracadabra the foundations give way as the existing props disappear.
The Democrat Governors have it in their hands to save America, but refuse to do so. Are they so implicated in wrongdoing that they would allow the American Republic to disappear?
WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HIJACKED AND OUR COUNTRY OUR DEMOCRACY HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY A FACIST AUTHORITARIAN DICTATORSHIP RULED BY TRUMP, REGIME AND THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION AUTHORS OF PROJECT 2025 BECOMING PROJECT 2026!!
NAMES INCLUDING TRUMP, VANCE, MARK ROBERTS, RUSSELL VOUGHT, STEPHEN MILLER, PAM BONDI, KRISTY NOEM, KASH PATEL, TOM HOMAN AND MANY OTHERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS TAKEOVER OF OUR COUNTRY OUR DEMOCRACY AND MUST BE PROSECUTED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS INJUSTICE TO US THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND OUR COUNTRY OUR DEMOCRACY!!!
This must happen so buckle up & take part in rescuing democracy & all the American people. There’s no avoiding casualties so do what almost all realize has to be done. ASAP
“threat” of violence? I think the people pepper sprayed, run over, beaten and disappeared might say it’s already here. And those fishermen can’t respond-along with the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who are dead from American bullets, drones and other munitions-but, yeah, if you’re saying Trump will double-down on his murdering, I agree.

THE COMMON GOOD MANIFESTO
A society built for people, not predators.
We are at our best when we invest in each other.
We are at our worst when we abandon the vulnerable.
This manifesto is how we return to the common good.
I. DIGNITY AND JUSTICE
1. Release the Epstein files — full transparency, no exceptions.
2. Impeach, convict, and imprison Donald Trump and every handler who enabled his corruption.
3. No federal office for any convicted felon.
4. End the weaponization of the justice system against the poor, immigrants, LGBTQ people, and marginalized communities.
II. DEMOCRACY THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
1. Abolish the Electoral College — one person, one vote.
2. Abolish ICE — replace it with humane immigration policy that honors human rights.
3. Ban gerrymandering with a standardized national apportionment method.
4. Two-term limits for every elected office.
5. Mandatory retirement at 70 for all elected officials.
6. Paper ballots only — end the era of hackable voting machines.
III. AN ECONOMY THAT SERVES PEOPLE
1. Restore 1950s-style progressive tax rates — when America was prosperous and fair.
2. Overturn Citizens United — corporations are not people.
3. Eliminate the Social Security payroll cap and tax capital gains for Social Security contributions.
4. $25 minimum wage indexed to inflation.
5. Medicare for All, one unified system — no A/B/C/D maze.
6. Congress receives Medicare, not boutique private insurance.
IV. WORKERS, CREATIVES, AND PUBLIC SERVANTS
1. Big pay raises for social workers, teachers, librarians, artists, and cultural workers — the people who actually hold society together.
2. Universal childcare — because families are the foundation of the nation.
3. Free public university education.
4. Full forgiveness of all student debt.
V. CLEAN GOVERNMENT
1. Root out corruption at every level, starting at the top.
2. Full financial transparency for every elected official, appointee, and senior bureaucrat.
3. Ban lobbying for former officeholders for life.
VI. THE FUTURE WE CHOOSE
We choose a country that values:
• Compassion over cruelty
• Community over greed
• Truth over propaganda
• Shared prosperity over billionaire hoarding
• Democracy over minority rule
• Human dignity over corporate profit
We choose a nation where the common good is not a slogan, but the organizing principle of public life.
And we refuse to apologize for demanding better.
I found your article illuminated with an interesting plan. Sounds REALLY good. Please share this more!

We have very strong intelligence and indicators that a wave of violence and the mentioned crackdown is coming Q1 2026, most likely in January.
Yes!! It’s time to double down on the resistance!!

Yes. Have to prepare for violence.

If it's going to happen then let's take the advantage on out time.
ANTIFA will win. The will of the people will triumph over the oligarchs/Trump. It always does…always!
If you think things are as bad as they can or will get, you are naive.
